Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote, has said that the board has achieved 35 per cent Nigerian Content as at 2021.
Speaking in Abuja recently, Wabote said with the way the board is going it will get to 70% by the year 2027.
“NCDMB interventions are $228million for gas, $80million for modular refineries and $24million for other interventions. The $332million commercial ventures is used to attract $3.7billion. Right now, about $5billion is spent in-country to build local Content.
“We got to where we are today by planning, doing the right thing, creative in our thought process, focusing on what the mandate of the Board is and conscientiously drive and implement our agenda”.
He noted that the the two key mandates of the Board are; to develop local capacitance capabilities without compromising standards and monitor and enforce the provisions of the NOGICD Act, 2010.
