The Management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) says the company has concluded its regional allocation of meters given to it by the Federal Government to fast-track metering in Kano franchise.

According to the Management, the company is taking the issue of metering with all the seriousness it deserved as a total of 87, 747 meters under the phase 1 have been made available for onward distribution to KEDCO’s customers.

Meter vendors and inventory of meters have been completed as pre-metering inspection has commenced across our franchise while identification of places for network upgrade is in progress.

The formula considered in sharing the meters include customer number, existing metering gap, customer viability and feeder banding based on priority.

We herewith assures our numerous customers of our resolve to continue to meter everyone until all KEDCO customers are metered in line with the policy of the Federal Government.
