The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has assured that the unfortunate fire incident at OVH Energy farm tank in Lagos has been brought under control.

The fire started on Thursday afternoon but put off at about 7.55 this morning, ENERGY TIMES learnt.

From our preliminary reports, according to a statement from its Head Public Affairs, Paul Osu, all safety control measures to contain the fire which is restricted to one tank was swiftly activated by the company and other stakeholders and all staff were safely evacuated from the facility.

“All other adjourning facilities have also activated their safety control measures to prevent spread to their facilities. Our operations team are fully on ground for ongoing investigations and we will continue to provide updates as to probable cause of the incident”.
