Chevron appoints Richard Kennedy as Managing Director, Nigeria Mid-Africa Business Unit

Chevron Exploration and Production company has announced that effective November 1, 2020, Richard J. “Rick” Kennedy, currently Director, Deepwater Assets and PSCS, Nigeria Mid-Africa Business Unit is appointed to the position of Managing Director, Nigeria Mid-Africa Business Unit in Lagos, Nigeria.

Rick received his Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1984. He joined Chevron that same year as a Production/Reservoir Engineer and has held numerous technical and management positions in Canada, Indonesia, The Partitioned Zone, Nigeria and the United States within his Chevron career.

This selection was endorsed by the Executive Personnel Development Committee and approved by the Human Resources Committee.
Jeff, the current Managing Director has however, moved to Israel as Head, the new Mediterranean Business, following Chevron’s acquisition of Noble Energy
