Out-going OPEC scribe, Dr. Sanusi Barkindo is dead

The out-going OPEC scribe, Dr. Sanusi Barkindo is dead.

According to a tweet from the GMD, NNPC Ltd, Mallam Mele Kyari, he died suddenly at about 11pm on Tuesday.

Barkindo was  with Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential villa on Tuesday on a thank you visit where he was described as a worthy Nigerian Ambassador.

Shortly after, Barkindo was at the on-going Nigeria’s oil and gas conference in Abuja where he delivered key note address.

He was the OPEC secretary for eight year. His two term expired last month, June, 2022
